Do you want to take your food photography to the next level? Whether you own or work at a food business, you want to be a food photographer or just love photographing food, this is the workshop for you.
Lorentz Gullachsen is an award-winning photographer who has been photographing food and drink for decades, for brands, restaurants, cafes and food producers. He’ll share his insights into what makes great food photography - from the composition, colours, lighting, tableware, surfaces, locations…
So if you want to learn to take better photographs of food, and maybe taste a few dishes along the way, then join us for a scrumptious day of food photography here at The Makers’ Space.
We’ll be working with The Makers’ Kitchen, just across the courtyard, to set up and photograph a variety of food - hot, cold… and freezing.
What you’ll learn:
How to photograph food at its best.
What makes the difference between an okay photograph and a great photograph.
How to style the food on the plate or bowl to make it enticing.
How to style the setting, with napkins, glasses, cups, and ingredients.
How to show some of the process to tell the story of food preparation.
How to light food photographs for different effects.
How to reflect the brand of whoever you’re shooting for in the food you’re photographing.
And we’ll touch on simple food videography too - with a couple of neat tricks to share on your Instagram.
