This Needle punch hoop workshop is an Introduction to punch needle for beginners.
We will start by going through the different types of needle and sizes of needles and how they correspond with different types of wool. The tutor will go through the fabrics that you need to use and common mistakes people make when choosing needles, fabric and wool. The importance of getting your fabric really tight and different ways of stretching your fabric. How to threads your punch, getting started with punching and getting your stitches even and the correct size. How to transfer your pattern. We will then punch the hoop, learning about stitch direction and how to change colour.

She regularly writes tutorials for and has been featured in many publications including Making Magazine, Mollie Makes, Love Embroidery, The Observer Magazine, Real Homes, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Ideal Home and Crafts Beautiful. Louisa has a lifelong love of creativity and from an early age could be found sticking together loo rolls at her kitchen table, these days she is often found in her garden singing badly whilst tending to her veg patch.
